Do I need to register to play?

Nope!  Just walk in at 3:30 on the Saturday you'd like to play.  All you'll need to bring are dice and a pencil and a readiness for adventure.  (And if you need some dice, we can help with that!)

Do I need to know how to play?

Don't worry, we'll teach you! Some sessions may be more intensive than others, but each game is meant to be welcoming for first time players. Even if you've never played a TRPG before, you'll be in good hands here!

Is this an organized play event?

No, these games are entirely prepared and run on a fan basis and are unique to each game master. Individual adventures may have been previously published, but these events are not associated with any organized play organization for any TRPG.

What time should I be there?

Sessions begin at 3:30 with introductions to the game system for any newcomers, as well as character selection. Adventures begin at 4 pm. Please respect everyone's time and effort and arrive prior to 4 if you are already familiar with the system or prior to 3:30 if you need time to acquaint yourself with the game.

Do I need to bring my own character sheet?

No, you do not bring your own character. For most games, premade characters will be available from the game master running the session. If you have spoken with the GM beforehand about bringing your own character and have their permission, you may feel free to bring your own.

Is anything else expected of me?

We ask that all those present at the table be respectful of each other and allow the game to progress with minimal disruption. Since this is a public space, we ask that you keep language and behavior family friendly, thank you.

Will there be breaks during the game?

Each session is meant to be a short, self-contained adventure lasting for just a few hours. For that reason, long breaks are not scheduled or expected, but if you need a couple minutes to run to the restroom or grab a snack from our selection that's totally fine!

How long are the sessions?

Each session is intended to last 3-4 hours, but may be slightly longer or shorter depending on a variety of factors, such as table attitude and player experience levels.

Do I have to come to every game?

Each one shot is a self contained adventure, so there's no commitment to an ongoing campaign, just show up and play when your schedule is open!

There are some topics that make me uncomfortable, can I still play?

Of course! As a rule, sessions have a PG-13 rating so they should be free of most stressors, but if you have any concerns, please show up early (around 3:30) and discuss your concerns with the game master.

Is my child allowed to play/watch?

We ask that all players be at least 13 years or older, but younger players are welcome to watch. If your child is under 13 but confident in their skills, please talk with the game master first to make sure. Sessions will often involve some level of violence (since that's the nature of most TRPGs), but overall themes and content will be capped at PG-13.

What happens if the GM doesn't show for the evening?
